During the past year the JVC, Gavin Adams and his team have been in the fortunate position to disburse funds generated via the various fund raising mechanisms to assist and further golf in various forms in our region.

The projects we have been able to be involved in and offer assistance to are as follows:

• Assistance to State Mines Country Club with the procurement of fertilizer and seeds to restore their greens after the severe damage thereof.

• Golfers Club Gift vouchers towards prizes in assisting Tembisa Golf Club to raise funds for the construction of a safety bridge on the golf course

• We have committed to assist Benoni Lake Club  with some form of contribution to the SADGA Provincial Day which will now be held with the return to some form of normality post COVID.

• Assistance to Kempton Country Club with their Golf Development Programme for youngsters from Tembisa.

• We collaborated with Ebotse Golf & Country Estate to refurbish a lawnmower which was donated to Tembisa Golf Club.  

• Donation of used equipment to the Development Programme at various golf clubs. These were received from our members in the form of shoes, clubs, bags and old clubs.

These are projects which are similar in nature each year and we as Nomads support through our FOG programmes.
